MY PHILOSOPHY |

People that are in business need one-on-one service. Because of my training as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner and Certified Management Accountant I may be in a better position to see your big picture than many advisors. I accept no fees or commissions. Services are billed on an hourly basis based upon the service performed. My only incentive is to give you good cost effective advice so you will continue to use my services. Our first meeting is free to you because I want to be sure that you want to work with me and I want to work with you before a commitment is made. I believe you need an advisor who is there for you. For that reason my email goes directly to my Blackberry so you can reach me by email if I am in the office or on the road. Also my business phone is my cell phone so you don’t have to talk to anyone but me when you want to talk with me. The only time I will not immediately answer either my email or phone calls is if I am a in a meeting with a client. I will return your email or phone call immediately after the meeting is over, usually in the matter of a few minutes. I am used to working with complex clients with multiple businesses since multiple businesses may be necessary in order to help you evaluate how different businesses are performing, limit legal liabilities reduce taxes. I will work with you to help design your business structure and to help you operate the business so your objectives are achieved. Often the businesses that I work with have an accounting department (or person) but no one that functions as a business controller. I have worked as a controller of retail, manufacturing and mining operations. I also have experience working with contractors and developers. Many smaller businesses cannot afford to hire a full-time controller who has years of experience, but by using my firm they can buy just the amount of services that they need without the cost of adding a full-time controller. If you have outsourced your accounting function to a bookkeeping firm I will work with them during the year so your tax return and planning can be done on a timely basis. For clients that want their tax return prepared without an extension I will work with your bookkeeper either internal or external so your tax return can generally be prepared within one to two weeks after the accounting records are received by me (ask me about the details). |
